Memories of Eternity

2 April, 2002

I dont suppose that I need to tell you what Memories of Eternity was written for, do I?

Through the mists of time
I send my mind
To wander, to ponder
These pictures set before me
These memories of Eternity.
She is beautiful, isn't she?

Those chocolate eyes -
A lover's aphrodisiac;
That soft, alluring skin -
A living, flowing bronze.
The long, dark hair -
A life all it's own.
Her heart so strong -
I long to call home.
Those lips, so soft -
Those lips I've kissed so oft.

Now, these memories lie hollow:
The ground they were planted in gone fallow.
These empty memories of Eternity;
She was beautiful, wasn't she?

Lulliby

24 September, 2001

This one is for a dream that I had once.  Unfortunately, the words that follow in the poem don't quite express how important what that dream means to me really is.  So, without further adue, Lulliby:

In the late of the evening the sun goes down,
The moon raises and cools the town.
The wolf howls - sings to the moon;
And Autumn lovers swoon.
The waters lap against the shore
As many times after as before.
The sand of the beach without a dent -
Except where lovers past event.
And the sky is clear and the stars abound
Lovers coo heard all around.
A man with lovers embrace does lie
Without a word he sings a lulliby;
To calm her beating heart.
With freshest repart
Replays the song in the pale moonlight
Much to his lovers warm delite.
"Must I say this?  To let you know,
How much I do love you so."
"This:  my reply must be,
Your love does set me free."
"May I yet again feel your skin?"
"Only soft touch is my answer's kin."
And so the night goes on,
Moon and stars watch till dawn
This lovers' playground
Skin to skin, around and around.
